Kip, our resident encyclopedia of all things automotive, has spent over 40 years in the industry. From turning wrenches in small-town shops to solving the kind of problems parts catalogs can’t, he’s built a career on real-world experience, not guesswork.
Nick grew up in the world of motorsports — racing, building, fabricating, and learning the hard way what breaks, what lasts, and what truly works. That lifelong immersion created a deep mechanical understanding that guides every part we select and every customer we help.
Together, we run Centark as a father-and-son team who believe in honesty, hard work, and getting things right the first time. No outsourcing. No “corporate” shortcuts.
Just two guys who know parts because we’ve lived them — in the shop, at the track, and everywhere in between.

Discover our Story
Centark’s story reaches back three generations. Nick’s grandfather left school in the eighth grade to help support his family and eventually built a career as a skilled bodyman at a dealership in Little Rock — the same place where Nick’s father, Kip, worked after school. Kip stayed in the bodywork trade into his late 30s, while his father went on to build Five Star Auto Lights and Five Star Airbags, the latter becoming the largest airbag redistribution facility of its kind. After retiring and selling the businesses, a small portion of the operation involving overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D) from a major manufacturer became available, and Kip purchased it. That opportunity laid the foundation for what would become Centark Truck & Equipment Parts.
Nick joined the company in 2015, leaving a finance path and a banking job for the freedom of hands-on work and helping his father grow the business. The OS&D pipeline from the manufacturer eventually ended during the COVID years, but together they rebuilt Centark by forming new, unofficial partnerships with large freight carriers, logistics networks, liquidation channels, and surplus suppliers. Today, Centark sources only new, OEM parts, acquired through honest hard work — the same values that have carried their family from a humble 8th-grade dropout to a multi-generation, hands-on Arkansas business.
